1. Product Introduction

A safety valve is an automatic pressure relief valve installed on equipment, vessels, or pipelines. Its closure member remains normally closed. When the medium pressure exceeds the set value, it opens automatically to discharge the medium, preventing overpressure and ensuring the safety of equipment and personnel. It is a core safety protection device for industrial pressure systems.


2. Technical Specifications

 Nominal Diameter (DN): Standard inlet/outlet sizes, matched to pipeline diameters (e.g., DN25, DN50).

 Nominal Pressure (PN/Class): Maximum allowable working pressure at room temperature, which must be the system's maximum working pressure (e.g., PN16 = 1.6MPa).

 Set Pressure: The predetermined pressure at which the valve begins to open, typically 1.05~1.2 times the working pressure and the equipment design pressure.

 Relieving Pressure: The pressure when the valve is fully open, which shall not exceed 1.1 times the set pressure (national standard requirement).

 Reseating Pressure: The inlet static pressure after the valve closes, which shall be 90% of the set pressure to avoid frequent opening and closing.

 Blowdown: The difference between the set pressure and reseating pressure, ideally as small as possible (usually 10% of the set pressure).

 Capacity: The discharge volume per unit time, which must meet or exceed the system's maximum relief rate (calculated according to GB/T 12241/API 520).


3. Main Component Materials

 Carbon Steel (WCB): For neutral media at room/medium temperatures, temperature range -20 ~ 425, economical and versatile with high strength.

 Stainless Steel (304/316L): For weakly corrosive and clean media (water, food-grade fluids), temperature range -196 ~ 600, corrosion-resistant and rust-proof.

 Alloy Steel (Chrome-Molybdenum Steel): For high-temperature steam and high-temperature oil products, temperature 550, high-temperature resistant and creep-resistant.

 Special Alloys (Hastelloy C-276 / Monel): For highly corrosive media (high-concentration acid/alkali, sulfur-containing oil products), temperature 600, excellent corrosion resistance at a higher cost.
