PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

A gate valve is a commonly used stop valve in industrial pipelines. It controls the full opening or full closing of the pipeline by lifting the gate perpendicular to the direction of medium flow, and is generally not used for throttling regulation.
The sealing surfaces of gate valves are mostly flat or wedge-shaped. When opening and closing, the gate slides relative to the sealing surface of the seat. With a simple structure and low flow resistance, gate valves are the mainstream choice for large-diameter, long-distance transmission pipelines.

GATE VALVE CLASSIFICATIONS

1. By Stem Structure

  • Rising Stem Gate Valve: The stem thread is exposed, allowing direct observation of valve opening. Easy lubrication and maintenance, less prone to medium corrosion. Suitable for outdoor and corrosive medium pipelines.
  • Non-Rising Stem Gate Valve: The stem thread is built inside the valve body, saving space, dustproof and moisture-proof. Commonly used in underground pipe networks and space-limited applications.

2. By Gate Structure

  • Wedge Gate Valve: The gate is wedge-shaped with good sealing performance, including elastic gate and rigid wedge gate. The most common structure.
  • Parallel Gate Valve: The gate and seat have parallel sealing surfaces. Simple structure, fast opening/closing speed, suitable for medium-low pressure and large-diameter conditions.

3. By Connection Type

  • Flanged Gate Valve: Easy installation and removal, reliable sealing, wide range of applications.
  • Welded Gate Valve: Suitable for high temperature, high pressure, flammable and explosive media with no leakage risk.
  • Threaded Gate Valve: Mostly used for small-diameter, low-pressure pipelines with compact installation.

4. By Actuation Type

  • Manual Gate Valve: Handwheel or wrench operated, commonly used for small diameters.
  • Gear Operated Gate Valve: Bevel gear drive to reduce opening/closing torque.
